Data and Privacy

Data AgentWatch processes

AgentWatch processes the minimum information required to provide monitoring:

  • Store identity and configuration, including domain, store name, timezone, and currency.
  • Alert preferences and an optional merchant-provided alert email.
  • Shopify authentication sessions stored with Shopify's official session storage.
  • Completed-day aggregate ShopifyQL metrics.
  • Shopify product IDs with minimal title and status snapshots.
  • Health-check results and response timing.
  • Incidents, aggregate evidence, alert-delivery status, and monitoring job history.
  • Limited operational information such as safe error codes and job status.

Data AgentWatch does not store

AgentWatch does not persist:

  • Customer names.
  • Customer email addresses or phone numbers.
  • Postal addresses.
  • Individual order records.
  • Individual browsing sessions.
  • Payment-card information.

How data is used

Data is used only to provide aggregate reporting, health monitoring, anomaly detection, incident history, diagnostics, support, security, and merchant-requested email alerts.

AgentWatch does not sell merchant or customer data.

Retention

While the app is installed:

  • Health and alert audit records are retained for up to 90 days.
  • Monitoring job history is retained for up to 30 days.
  • Aggregate monitoring data remains available for the product experience until it is deleted according to the app's retention and lifecycle controls.

Delete monitoring data

Open Settings, select the deletion confirmation, and choose Delete AgentWatch data. This permanently removes aggregate metrics, product exposure, health history, incidents, evidence, alert records, and job history for the store without uninstalling the app.

Uninstall behavior

Monitoring stops when Shopify notifies AgentWatch that the app was uninstalled. Shopify authentication sessions are removed, and remaining shop-owned data is deleted when Shopify sends its required shop-redaction request.

Security and support

Access is authenticated through Shopify, traffic is encrypted in transit, and diagnostic output is sanitized. When contacting support, never send Shopify access tokens, passwords, API keys, or customer data.

For the full legal notice, use the AgentWatch Privacy Policy linked from the app or its Shopify App Store listing.
