Shine 3.5.0: Two New Demos, a Transparent Header & Seven New Sections

Shine 3.5.0 is a major creative release. Two new demo stores, Ardent (built for Jewelry and Accessories brands) and Strade (built for Bags stores), give you fresh starting points for your brand, while a transparent homepage header and a full-height Hero section let your imagery take centre stage from the very first scroll. Add seven new sections, new product page blocks, and dozens of fine-tuning controls, and Shine gives you more ways than ever to build a store that looks and feels yours.

Highlight Features

Two New Looks, Ready to Use: Ardent & Strade

Your store’s look is the first promise your brand makes. Ardent and Strade are two new theme presets, each with its own demo store, giving you two more distinct directions to start from.

Ardent is built with timeless elegance and shoppable lookbooks for fine jewelry and luxury accessories.

Strade is an editorial, high-fashion demo designed for designer handbags and leather goods.

A Cinematic First Impression: Transparent Header & Hero Section

In beauty and wellness, the first image does the selling: the glow, the texture, the ritual. The new transparent header floats over the first section on your homepage, so your hero image or video fills the screen edge to edge with nothing in the way. An optional gradient scrim keeps navigation readable, and you can set a separate transparent logo and content colour so everything stays crisp over your imagery.

Paired with the new Hero section: Build a full-height image or video hero with slide blocks, each with its own heading, subheading, description, and buttons. Control autoplay direction and speed, set separate desktop and mobile images and heights, and fine-tune overlay and content overlay colours. It is everything you need for a campaign-worthy opening, on every screen size.

Notable Additions & Improvements

Six more new sections. Beyond the Hero section, 3.5.0 adds six new ways to tell your story and showcase your products:

  • Dynamic grid: an editable square grid built from Grid item blocks, each with image or video media, a link, and its own Grid heading with viewport-relative type, optional vertical text, and a highlight effect. Perfect for bold, editorial layouts such as lookbooks, shop-by-category tiles, and, for beauty stores, shop-by-concern tiles like Hydration and Brightening.

Product showcase grid: a product grid paired with an image or video panel with sticky info, showing vendor, colour swatches, and quick shop or quick buy actions. Ideal for season drops, sale edits, holiday gift guides, and collaboration launches.

Product showcase list: products presented as a list beside an image that stays in view as the section scrolls, with heading, description, and button blocks. A beautiful way to walk shoppers through a routine step by step.

  • Social media: post blocks with an optional marquee, heading, description, and button, plus separate desktop and mobile columns. Bring your community’s content and social proof straight onto your storefront.

Collection links: a navigation row built from a menu or collection list that highlights and pins the current collection, so shoppers can hop between ranges without losing their place.

  • Newsletter popup: a standalone popup with smart trigger and delay rules (time, days, homepage only, or new visitors only), an optional sticky launcher, and a reusable Newsletter form block. Grow your list without interrupting the moments that matter.

New product page blocks. More ways to build trust and raise order value on every product page:

  • Gift toggle: offer an opt-in gift product with its own title, subtitle, and default state. The gift appears as a compact add-on row in the cart and cart drawer, perfect for gift wrapping, a sample, or a seasonal treat.
  • Feature with icon: highlight what makes a product special, like cruelty-free, vegan, or dermatologist tested, with a custom icon or image.

Separator: add a styled divider to give product information room to breathe.

  • Design controls for a signature look. A new theme-wide Tab style setting (Colour only, sliding Underline, or segmented Pill), plus typography controls for font weight, style, and text transform across buttons, menu levels 1 to 3, tabs, and card headings. Small details, applied everywhere, make a store feel truly on-brand.
  • More section customization. Image gallery and Spotlight quotes gain a full section header with subheading, heading, description, button, and alignment, and Spotlight quotes can now link a product. Collection directory gains full width, custom padding, and separate cell and promo overlay colours. Complementary products can now display as a carousel or grid with a set image ratio. Sidebar mega menus gain spacing, link, and alignment controls.
  • A more polished product page. The Description block can now show below the gallery on desktop, Buy it now follows your Add to cart button style for a consistent look, and new size controls cover the Price block, popup headings, and running content images. Comparison tables also gain filled, outline, or plain yes and no marks.
